the beautiful night had a number of awards to give one of them being Best Actress in Feature Film that was awarded to Penny Peninah Nampanga for her role in "Maria"
Yesterday evening on the 7th of June, the Uganda Film Festival celebrated its award gala night, the night was a time of celebration and recognition of the films and filmmakers who outdid themselves the past year.
With performances from Ugandan musical star Vinka, the gala was hosted by Uncle Mo and Deedan, both actors, comedians and social media personalities.
With worthy wins like Best Actress in Feature Film was awarded to Penny Peninah Nampanga for her role in Maria and a win for Best Actress and Best Series going to Damalie the former favouring the series lead actress Doreen Mirembe. The night was quite the experience here is the full list of the Award winners.

Best Screenplay in a Feature Film- Mary Nyanzi and Eleanor Nabwiso (Christmas Together).
Best Cinematography in a Feature film - Alex Ireta (Makula)
Best Actor in Feature Film - Edris Lubega
Best Actress in Feature Film - Penny Peninah Nampanga (Maria).

The festival once again has celebrated the great talent in the nation and we can only look forward to what the next year is to bring most importantly who will be taking these awards next year’s festival.
