This is a competitive online singing competition where talent meets strategy in a virtual experience. Whether you are a singer, voter, or fan, here is everything you need to know about how the game works.

 

HOW TO APPLY

Want to be a contestant? Follow these steps:

  1. Sign up for a user account on our website.
  2. Submit your Application Form and a one-minute audition video.
  3. If selected, you will receive weekly song assignments to perform.

Singers who qualify will compete in a structured format for a chance to win UGX 500,000 per season.

 

HOW THE GAME WORKS

Seasonal Structure

  • A season lasts 12 weeks.

  • Each week, five songs are assigned to contestants.

  • Contestants record their performances and submit them for review.

  • The best five performances are featured online every week.

  • Viewers vote online for their favorite performances.

  • At the end of the season, the singer with the highest total votes wins UGX 500,000.

Number Selection Process

  • Every week, each singer is required to pick a number from the system.

  • Each number is linked to a specific song, which the singer must perform.

  • Once a number is taken, it is immediately marked as unavailable, displaying the assigned song to other singers.

  • Singers cannot change their chosen number. Selection is final and limited to one choice per week.

  • Every singer gets a 48-hour window after receiving an alert on their dashboard to pick a number. Failure to select a number within this period means you miss the round.

  • After selecting a number, the singer must submit their performance within 72 hours. Late submissions will not be accepted.

This structured process ensures fairness, encourages quick decision-making, and enhances the thrill of the competition. Stay ready, pick wisely, and give your best performance.

 

VOTING & JUDGING RULES

Voting and judging in The Voice Game combine audience participation and expert evaluation to ensure fairness and excitement.

Voting Rules

  • Voting is conducted weekly on our website.

  • Each registered user can vote twice per week.

  • Audience votes contribute 50% to the final score.

  • The season winner is determined by the highest cumulative votes over 12 weeks.

  • The winner is announced on our website and social media.

  • Prizes are sent via mobile money or bank transfer, with a video shared online.

Judging Criteria (30% of Score)

Judges evaluate performances based on:

  • Vocal Strength & Control: Power, consistency, and voice quality.
  • Pitch Accuracy: Staying in tune throughout the performance.
  • Emotional Expression & Interpretation: Ability to connect with the song.
  • Stage Presence & Confidence: Performance energy and engagement.
  • Creativity & Uniqueness: Originality in delivery.
  • Clarity & Diction: Pronunciation and understandability of lyrics.

Both audience votes and judges' scores determine the final rankings each week. Follow the rules, sing your best, and let the game decide.

 

How Voting Works
Votes are counted from two sources:
 

  • Public Votes: Fans and supporters can cast votes to help their favorite contestant rise in the rankings.
  • Judges' Scores: Our expert panel evaluates performances based on key musical aspects.

To win the full grand prize, a contestant must collect at least 200 total votes from both judges and the public. If the required votes aren’t met, the prize will be Half -UGX 250,000 instead of UGX 500,000.

Weekly Reward - “Singer of the Week”

In addition to the grand season prize, The Voice Game rewards consistency and outstanding weekly performance.

 

Each week, the Singer of the Week is selected based solely on judges' scores (not public votes).

 

  • The top-scoring singer receives UGX 10,000, which is added to their TAIM Wallet on their user account.

  • This reward is separate from the seasonal UGX 500,000 grand prize.

  • All weekly winners can withdraw their earnings from their wallet at any time.

To be eligible, a singer must submit their weekly performance on time and meet all quality requirements.

 

GAME RULES & EXPECTATIONS FOR SINGERS

  • Authenticity is key. Contestants must submit original vocals (no auto-tuning).
  • Performance matters. Singers should follow the scripted storyline to keep the show engaging.
  • No copyrighted instrumentals. All songs are performed acapella or with custom backing tracks.
  • Deadlines must be met. Late submissions will lead to disqualification.
  • Respect the game. No vote manipulation, no faking results - this is a fair competition.
