Seremba Frank, an actor driven by passion, perseverance, and a dream to wave the Ugandan flag in Hollywood, believes in the power of storytelling to inspire change.
Seremba Frank, a dedicated film actor from Bulenga, Uganda, working with ANCHO Film Production, shares a journey fueled by resilience and a deep love for the craft.
Frank’s acting career began in his high school days at Goldstar High School, where he was given the leading role in a stage play. After school, he joined Premstars, a group that honed his skills and connected him to opportunities with various film companies. These experiences helped him build confidence and push his career forward.
The film industry appeals to him because it allows him to make new friends and connect with creative minds. Among his achievements, Frank treasures the recognitions he has earned, though his journey hasn’t been without challenges. He recalls being part of a project where he wasn’t provided with a script and struggled with a language barrier. This motivated him to start learning different languages to ensure versatility. Another challenge was enduring long hours of rehearsals, sometimes stretching over 5 hours.
Frank’s proudest project so far is "Omutango" by Wattu Film Production, where he played the role of a gang member who stole money from an old man. In the story, the other thieves met tragic ends, and Frank’s character eventually went mad—delivering a powerful message to teens about the dangers of stealing and seeking quick earnings.
His biggest inspiration in the film industry is Mr. Yasin Lubowa, who continues to motivate him to aim higher. Frank encourages aspiring actors to "know what you want" and stay focused on their goals.
Looking to the future, Seremba Frank envisions himself "waving the Ugandan flag in Hollywood" while contributing to the growth of Uganda’s film industry. He believes that soon, Uganda will have its own world-class studios, paving the way for greater storytelling.
A funny fact that many don’t know about Frank is that he once stood up to a police officer threatening to arrest his mother, promising to fight back if she was touched—a moment that reflects his fearless and protective spirit.
