Build African Stories. Combine Resources. Create Productions. Reach Audiences.
TAIM AFRICA is expanding its original content programme through TAIM Cinema, and we are opening opportunities for serious individuals, filmmakers, production companies, creative professionals and strategic partners to participate in the development of original African film and short-form productions.
This is not simply an invitation to provide a film production service.
We are looking for production partners who want to build productions with us by combining resources, expertise, creative ideas, industry connections and other valuable contributions.
What Are TAIM Cinema Originals?
TAIM Cinema Originals are films, series and short-form productions developed or commissioned by TAIM AFRICA for distribution through TAIM Cinema and other approved TAIM AFRICA media and distribution channels.
Our goal is to develop stories that can connect African talent and storytelling with audiences through modern digital distribution.
The programme is intended to grow beyond individual productions into a continuing slate of original African content.
Why Are We Looking for Production Partners?
Creating quality productions requires more than a camera and a script.
It requires:
- Strong stories and creative development
- Producers and production managers
- Directors and technical professionals
- Actors and other talent
- Equipment and production resources
- Locations and industry networks
- Financing and commercial support
- Marketing and audience development
- Distribution and digital platform infrastructure
Rather than trying to provide everything ourselves, TAIM AFRICA believes that stronger productions can be created by bringing the right partners together.
This allows each partner to contribute what they are best positioned to provide.

Who Can Become a Production Partner?
We are interested in working with:
- Film producers
- Production companies
- Directors and experienced filmmakers
- Creative entrepreneurs
- Investors and business professionals
- Actors and creative professionals with production capacity
- Equipment owners
- Content creators and IP owners
- Companies interested in entertainment partnerships
- Individuals with strong industry networks
- Strategic partners who can contribute resources, market access or other valuable support
You do not necessarily need to be a large production company.
What matters is what you can bring to the partnership and the value that can be created together.
What Can a Partner Contribute?
A partnership does not have to be based only on cash.
Depending on the project, a partner may contribute:
Financial resources
Funding toward an agreed production budget.
Equipment
Cameras, lighting, sound, editing, production or other useful equipment.
Professional skills
Production management, directing, cinematography, editing, writing, marketing or other expertise.
Industry networks
Actors, crew, locations, sponsors, distributors or other useful connections.
Stories and intellectual property
Original concepts, scripts or other rights that can be developed into productions.
Production capacity
The ability to organise and execute part or all of a production.
Strategic support
Business development, audience access, marketing, partnerships or other resources that can strengthen a production.
The actual contribution required will depend on the particular project.
What Does TAIM AFRICA Bring?
TAIM AFRICA brings an established creative and digital ecosystem through which productions can be developed, managed, promoted and distributed.
Depending on the project, TAIM AFRICA may provide:
- Production development and coordination
- TAIM Cinema distribution
- Digital audience development
- Marketing and promotional support
- Access to creative programmes and talent
- Creator and filmmaker networks
- Digital platform infrastructure
- Content administration
- Distribution opportunities
- Opportunities for wider commercial exploitation
Our aim is to ensure that a production is not simply completed and left without an audience.
How Does the Partnership Work?
There is no single partnership structure that applies to every production.
A partnership may be structured around the resources, responsibilities and value contributed by each party.
Before a partner commits to a production, the parties can agree on matters such as:
- The production
- The partner's contribution
- Production responsibilities
- Ownership interests
- Producer or executive producer credits
- Revenue participation
- Distribution arrangements
- Marketing responsibilities
- Intellectual property rights
- Reporting and financial records
- Other project-specific terms
For this reason, each qualifying production may have its own written production or co-production agreement.
This ensures that everyone understands what they are contributing and what they are entitled to receive.
Can a Partner Participate in More Than One Production?
Yes.
The TAIM Cinema Originals programme is intended to develop an ongoing production pipeline.
A partner who successfully works with TAIM AFRICA on one production may have opportunities to participate in additional productions, depending on the partner's contribution, the requirements of each project and mutual agreement.
However, participation in one production does not automatically give a partner ownership or participation in every TAIM AFRICA production.
Each production is treated according to its agreed partnership structure.
How Can Production Partners Benefit?
Depending on the agreement for a particular production, partners may receive benefits such as:
- Co-production or Executive Producer recognition
- Production credits
- Ownership participation
- Revenue participation
- Long-term commercial participation in qualifying productions
- Opportunities to contribute to future productions
- Recognition of equipment or professional resources contributed
- Access to wider TAIM AFRICA creative and distribution opportunities
The specific benefits are agreed before participation in a production.
No particular financial return or production performance is guaranteed. Film and entertainment projects depend on audience response, distribution opportunities, commercial performance and other factors.
What Makes This Different?
We are not looking to build a system where one party simply provides money and another party disappears with the production.
We want to develop working production relationships.
A partner can bring resources, knowledge, relationships or creative capacity, while TAIM AFRICA contributes its own platform, distribution, marketing, creative ecosystem and digital infrastructure.
The objective is to create productions in which the people helping to build them can have a meaningful and properly documented interest in the results.
A Growing Production Ecosystem
TAIM AFRICA already works across several areas of the creative industry, including filmmaking, actor development, digital media and creative programmes.
The Monologue Vault, for example, provides a structured environment for actors to develop their screen-performance skills, while TAIM AFRICA's wider filmmaker and creative networks provide opportunities to identify and develop talent.
TAIM Cinema Originals gives us an opportunity to take that ecosystem further - from talent development to actual productions and digital distribution.
Our long-term objective is to create a system where African stories can be developed, produced, distributed and monetised within a connected creative ecosystem.
Who Are We Looking For Right Now?
We are particularly interested in hearing from people who can say:
“I have something valuable that I can bring to a production, and I want to build something with you.”
That contribution could be money.
It could be equipment.
It could be production expertise.
It could be a story.
It could be access to talent.
It could be locations.
It could be business networks.
It could be a combination of several things.
We are interested in the value of the partnership, not simply the size of someone's organisation.
