What is SAVI Circle?

SAVI Circle - short for Saving for Advancement, Vision & Impact - is a community-driven savings and impact program hosted by TAIM AFRICA Wallet. It is built on the belief that every coin saved with purpose can fuel lasting change. At its heart, SAVI Circle empowers members to save consistently, earn interest, access credit, and support society - all within a structured, accountable and inspiring system.

Members of SAVI Circle are called Savics - a symbol of financial responsibility, collective strength, and a shared commitment to making a difference in the world.

The program is open to individuals globally, starting in Uganda, and invites artists, tech innovators, students, professionals, and community builders to take part in a future-focused financial culture.

Core Purpose of SAVI Circle

SAVI Circle was designed to do more than just store savings. Its goal is to:

• Promote consistent saving among creatives, tech innovators, and changemakers.

• Provide access to low-barrier loans based on contribution behavior.

• Channel small collective funds into life-changing impact projects.

• Fund emergency and community welfare needs through a Brotherhood Fund.

• Support disadvantaged children with direct education aid (outside guardianship models).

How It Works - Membership and Contributions

Becoming a Savic:
To become a member, you simply sign up via www.taimafricaarts.org/wallet.
There is an application fee.

Contribution Options:

• Monthly Minimum Contribution: UGX 35,000 (or equivalent)

• Annual Contribution: UGX 420,000 (can be paid at once or monthly)

Monthly Contribution Breakdown:
Each monthly contribution is split into:

• 30% (UGX 10,500) - Dedicated to the Creative & Innovation Support Fund (non-withdrawable)

• Fixed UGX 5,000 - Contributed to the Brotherhood Fund (non-withdrawable)

• Balance (UGX 19,500) - Your Personal Savings, which earns interest and is withdrawable

Benefits of Joining SAVI Circle

1. Personal Savings Growth
   Every member's saving earns an instant 2% interest each month. Interest becomes withdrawable annually.

2. Loan Access Without Long Waiting
   Once you have contributed at least UGX 35,000 cumulatively, you are eligible for a loan.
   Loans are calculated based on your contribution trends, not your membership duration.

3. Emergency and Impact Funds
   Through the Brotherhood Fund, members indirectly contribute to helping others in need. This builds a support system like no other.

4. Leadership Opportunities
   Every Savic can apply to become:

   • Area Agent (local rep for the Circle)

   • Regional Supervisor (oversees operations in zones)

   • Leaders are rewarded with recognition, bonuses, and visibility.

5. Events and Engagement

• Quarterly Online Forums: Learn financial growth, digital innovation, and more.
• Annual Physical Gatherings: Celebrate, learn, and connect.
• Recognition Awards: For top contributors, savers, and impact supporters.
• Savi Chatroom: Connect with other Savics, ask questions, and grow together.

Withdrawals & Access to Funds

Withdrawable:

• Your personal savings

• The 2% interest (available every 12 months)

• Extra top-up savings

Non-withdrawable:

• The 30% creative/innovation allocation

• The Brotherhood Fund

Withdrawals are requested through the wallet system and processed upon approval. Deliberate saving is rewarded with both liquidity and credibility.

Penalties & Accountability

• Monthly contribution deadline: 10th of every month

• Late payment incurs UGX 2,000 weekly penalty

• Missing 2 consecutive months = frozen membership

• Missing 3 months = must reapply and clear arrears

Who Do We Support?

The SAVI Circle runs independent child impact support for:

• Children from low-income homes

• Orphans and vulnerable learners
  Support comes in form of tuition contributions, mentorship, supplies, and tech-learning support.
