An online acting competition crafted for aspiring and experienced actors to showcase their talent through carefully selected monologues, build an audience, gain professional feedback, and earn real cash rewards through weekly scores and public support.

Key Dates

Competition Format

• 12 weeks of acting assignments

• Each week, contestants draw or are assigned a number, which links to a specific monologue script

• Contestants record a single-take monologue video (2-3 minutes max)

• Videos must be submitted by Thursday 11:59 PM each week

• Public voting + judges' scoring happens over the weekend

• Top performances are featured on TAIM AFRICA’s website and social media

Scoring System

• Judges’ Score - 70%
  Each video is evaluated on:

  • Acting skill

  • Voice and emotion control

  • Interpretation of the script

  • Authenticity of performance

• Public Votes - 30%
  Anyone visiting the Viewers Page on the TAIM AFRICA website can vote once per performance.

Each week, the scores earned convert into cash points, which accumulate in the contestant’s TAIM Wallet.

Earnings & Prizes

• Weekly scores = weekly cash growth

• Earnings reflect immediately on the Leaderboard under each actor’s name

• At the end of 12 weeks, total earnings are paid out in full

• Bonus Prizes:

  • Vault Champion (most total points): +UGX 100,000

  • Public Favorite (most votes): +UGX 100,000

  • Best Final Performance (Week 12 pick): +UGX 100,000

Note: These bonuses are added on top of the points-earned cash.

Certificates of Participation

• Actors who complete at least 4 monologue submissions during the season will be issued official participation certificates from TAIM AFRICA.

Eligibility & Requirements

Who Can Apply:

• Anyone aged 13+

• Based in Uganda or abroad

• Must have an interest in acting and basic video-recording ability

Before Applying:

You must first create a TAIM AFRICA user account and activate your TAIM Wallet, because:

• Your TAIM Username and Wallet ID are required in the application form

• They are used to link your performances, scores, and accumulated cash earnings to your account

You cannot apply unless you have a TAIM AFRICA Wallet

How to Apply

1. Go to the TAIM AFRICA Sign-up Page and create a user account

2. Activate your TAIM Wallet (instructions provided after account creation)

3. Fill out the official Monologue Vault Application Form, where you will provide

4. Once verified, you will receive your Week 1 instructions

Technical Guidelines for Video Submissions

• Video must be shot in portrait or landscape orientation

• Must be done in a single take (no edits)

• Use natural light or clear indoor lighting

• Ensure clear audio (avoid noisy backgrounds)

• No fancy costumes or props needed - focus is on acting

Ethics and Fairness

• All submissions are checked for authenticity

• Judges’ panel is rotated to ensure unbiased scoring

• Public voting is limited to one vote per IP per performance

• Disrespectful, vulgar, or copied performances will be disqualified
